Ingredients
- High quality vegan chocolate that is at least 75% cocoa
- 2-3 tbsp plain sea moss gel
- Nuts- any assortment of nuts to your liking. Cashews, almonds and sunflower seeds are great options
- Dried berries- the smaller the better such as goji berries, raisins, cranberries, or cherries.
Instructions
- Gather the ingredients. Have your ingredients ready so that the chocolate bark is easy to assemble.
- Grab a large microwave-safe bowl, add the chocolate, and then melt the chocolate in 30 second intervals in the microwave. Be sure to pull the bowl out of the microwave and stir the chocolate to help ensure it does not burn, overcook and melt evenly. For these reasons it is important to be sure to keep it to 30 second intervals and not longer.
- Stir the sea moss gel into the melted chocolate until fully mixed.
- Transfer the chocolate onto a parchment-lined plate or baking sheet. Use a spatula to spread out the chocolate in a thin, even layer, about 1/4" thick. Can make it thicker based on preference but will take longer to fully set.
- Add on the nuts and/or fruits to the top. Feel free to add as much or as little as you would like.
- Transfer plate or baking sheet to the fridge to allow the chocolate to set. It should take about 30 minutes if done 1/4" thickness as suggested. Transferring to the freezer for at least 5 minutes after it has fully set can be helpful in the next step.
- Once it has fully set, you can break it into bite-sized pieces.
- Enjoy your chocolate bark. Store any leftover chocolate bark in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week or in the freezer for longer lasting.
