Importance of knowing the age of your sea moss gel

Sea moss is a superfood growing naturally in the wild. When making it into a gel for SVG prides themselves in keeping it as natural and organic as possible thus not including any type of preservatives. Since there are no preservatives, it is very important to know the age of any jar.

Sea moss gel if kept refrigerated and unopened can last up to four months. It is important to consume it within its shelf life to not only get the best benefits from its nutritional value but to also ensure it has not gone bad as well. Once opened, sea moss gel has a four-week life span when properly stored in a refrigerator. Consuming sea moss gel that has expired can cause food poisoning with symptoms ranging from nausea, vomiting, gas and diarrhea.

If you are having a hard time going through your sea moss gel within its shelf life there are other ways to consume it than just raw or in a drink. You can add it to many different recipes which will enhance your daily nutritional value consumption while helping you move through it in time.

If the product color has altered, has a foul smell, extra-watery or slimy gel is present or there is a present of mold it should be taken seriously that the product has gone bad and should be tossed. We consume sea moss as a health benefit please be sure to not consume past the life span.
